Former Premier League strikers, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker, have revealed how many goals Cristiano Ronaldo will score for Manchester United this flavour.
Ronaldo joined Man United from Juventus in the summertime transfer window.
The Portugal captain has netted 5 goals in 6 appearances in all competitions for Man United.
But Shearer and Lineker believe the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will top the 20-goal score this flavour.
“When you seem at his [ Cristiano Ronaldo] career, and specially his career at Man United, he started there, started with really raw but unbelievable talent and you could consider that from the kickoff,” Shearer said on the BBC’s Match of the Daytime Top 10 podcast.
“And where he’s got to… him and [Lionel] Messi have taken goal scoring to some other level. It was ridiculous the number of goals these guys [have scored].
“It depends how often, whether he stays fit…25 [goals this season.”
On his part, Shearer responded: “I think I am right in saying the last time he failed to score 20 or more league goals in a season was the season he left Manchester United in 2009.
“You are pretty much guaranteed, I would say, 20 league goals.”
Ronaldo will hope to continue his impressive display for Man United after the international break when they face Leicester in their next match on October 16.
