Former Chelsea chief, Frank Lampard, has named Manchester United and Liverpool as the club’s Premier League greatest title equals this season.
Lampard expressed this in front of Chelsea’s UEFA Super League last tie against Villarreal on Wednesday.
Chelsea completed in the fourth situation in the Premier League last season behind Liverpool, Manchester United and support Manchester City.
Speaking on Chelsea’s opponents this season, Lampard was cited by Football London as saying on Monday: “I figure you can’t limit Manchester United. They were relatively close last year and they have gone again and acquired truly noteworthy signings.
“I figure Liverpool will be something similar, they missed gigantic players through injury for a major piece of last season and the prior year, they were perhaps the best group we have found in the Premier League. You can’t limit them.
“As much as you can’t limit the groups pushing those from simply behind. Leicester, we saw succeed at the end of the week, West Ham improved extraordinarily, Aston Villa loses Jack Grealish yet are getting solid players. It makes for an astonishing season.”
Chelsea will begin their 2021/22 Premier League crusade against Crystal Palace this weekend.
