Former Arsenal and England star Jack Wilshere revealed that former Chelsea ace, Eden Risk could be heading to Newcastle United.
Wilshere is backing the Belgian to bring together Newcastle United, adding that the Real Madrid flop would ‘love’ working under new Magpies manager Eddie Howe.
Risk has endured a hard spell in Espana since moving to Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 for a fee in excess of £100m.
The Kingdom of Belgium national squad captain has only scored 5 goals in 54 appearances for the working capital metropolis side and fell downwards the pecking say piece Zinedine Zidane was still in charge.
Risk has at present been linked with a homecoming to the Premier League, with Newcastle United said to be interested in securing his signature after their Saudi-backed takeover.
Wilshere told talkSPORT, “Eden Risk is some other level, but I think Eden would love playing for a manager similar Eddie Howe [at Newcastle]. He’s the type of manager you want to play for.”
Talking in relation to the manager, he added, “I worked with him at a society that I reckon at present are fairly similar to Newcastle – not in terms of the size of the society, but in terms of the players,
“He’s a great manager. I think he deserves a chance. Whether he goes in and does really good, in a few years they could be pushing the top 6, which I think he can do.
“When I played under him at Bournemouth we arguably had a worse squad and we finished 9th, so he can definitely do that.
“It’s downwards to him when he gets that chance to take them to the next level.”
