Former Liverpool player, Danny Murphy, has addressed Manchester United for marking Donny van de Beek.

Van de Beek has persevered through a baffling spell at Man United after his £35 million move from Ajax in the late spring of 2020.

The Netherlands global has scored recently once in 39 appearances for Man United.

The midfielder is yet to begin a Premier League match for the Red Devils this season and has been vigorously connected with a get away from Old Trafford in front of the January move window.

Asked about Van de Beek’s circumstance at Man United, Murphy told the Daily Mail: “Who got him? Was it a touch of advertising since he was one of only a handful of exceptional notable names accessible at the time?
