The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has captured and given more than two presumed web fraudsters to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Command.
Spokesperson for the Commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, uncovered this in an assertion in Abuja on Friday.
Uwujaren said that one of the suspects during their capture previously possessed 68 naira mastercards.
Other things recuperated from him, as indicated by Uwujaren, included cell phones, a Lexus IS350 Salon vehicle with enlistment number, BWR 977 BR.
“The suspects were given over alongside the recuperated things including composed proclamations recorded at the workplace of the NDLEA.
“Preliminary examination following the handover uncovers that one of the suspects is into ATM Card trick as two more clear ATM cards were recuperated at his home throughout executing an inquiry warrant.
“Also, a staff of another age bank at Rangers Avenue Enugu, whose discussion with the suspect was blocked by the Commission, has been captured and is right now helping the examination,” he said.
Uwujaren added that the Department of State Services (DSS) likewise gave more than eight presumed web fraudsters to the Enugu Command on Oct. 20.
He added that the suspects were captured at a sumptuous loft in a home in Enugu State.
“They are suspected to be students learning the specialty of digital fraud.
“They will be charged to court when the examination is closed, ” Uwujaren said.
