Stakeholders have tasked the Governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on the demand to ensure total implementation of his movement manifesto one time sworn in, to ensure a superior life for Anambra people.
One of the indigenes who spoke to DAILY POST on the emergence of Soludo as the winner of the just concluded governorship election tasked him to wipe absent the tears of the people of the province and also shame critics.
The human rights lawyer, Anthony Agbasiere who reacted to Soludo’s victory in an open alphabetic character, tasked him to address infrastructure, occupation, job provision, abolition of multiple taxations on poor traders and many to a greater extent.
He decried the huge revenue enhancement burden placed on the ordinary citizen’s of the province, begging the governor-elect to seek superior ways to heighten the internally generated revenue of the province, without burdening the people.
He said: “There is a myriad of taxes placed on our people and these taxes have saddled on us a huge burden which has not only left so many of our people in economical stagnation but has also left many businesses nose-diving.
“We voted for you to seem into this. Sir, the extortion of our marketplace men and women, motorists, Keke and okada riders by motor common agents (Agbero), constabulary people and other uniform men/women is also division of the reasons why we voted you to address it squarely.
“The divine sojourn has just begun. An era unfolds the brand new before us, one which has been entrusted to you to steer the ship of its affairs to our collective desired destination. Our minds are at peace and our hopes stand up high because one time once more the compass that directs our sheet is held by the chosen competent captain.”
Speaking on areas that demand specific attending, Agabasiere counted unemployment and underemployment as amid them, including youth festiveness and empowerment.
“The issue of unemployment and underemployment amid the youths in this country is no word to you and Anambra youths are not left out. Many of our youths have resorted to the negative evolution of private talents to create ends run across.
“The job of unemployment and underemployment amid the youths can be easily tackled by building companies and creating industries where this big number of youths of different levels of qualification can be employed or regain themselves employed from the opportunities the existences of these industries would create,” Agbasiere pointed out.
He also tasked Soludo to give education, healthcare, sports and other sectors the needed attending that will create the province glow.
