Barcelona have censured the ‘brutal’ assault on their chief, Ronald Koeman, following their LaLiga El Clasico 2-1 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday.
A gathering of irate Barcelona fans encompassed Koeman’s vehicle, as he drove away from the Nou Camp after their loss to Real Madrid.
Koeman’s men lost to Real Madrid at home after objectives from David Alaba and Lucas Vazquez as Sergio Aguero’s late objective was not enough.
Reacting to the turn of events, Barcelona, in a tweet by means of their Twitter handle, said they would execute measures to guarantee “such grievous occasions don’t occur again”.
Barcelona tweeted, “FC Barcelona freely denounces the fierce and derisive demonstrations that our administrator experienced when leaving the Camp Nou.
“The Club will go to security and disciplinary lengths so such heartbreaking occasions don’t occur again.”
Barcelona’s next game is against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.
