Nigeria has taken possession of 501,600 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX facility.
The donation from the Regime of French Republic was received by the National Primary Health Attention Evolution Agency (NPHCDA) on Fri.
At the National Strategic Common cold Store, the Executive Manager, Faisal Shuaib said Nigeria was amongst the African countries that gained from French Republic’s gesture.
Shuaib said French Republic has not only been a dependable ally but also brotherly in all ramifications.
He added that Nigeria’s vaccine storage facilities remain efficient and good maintained.
Nigeria first off received COVID-19 vaccination on March 5, 2021 – 4 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines from COVAX.
The moment stage was 4 million doses of Moderna vaccines from the United States of America Regime.
The country also got 177,600 doses of Johnson and Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccines from the African Union (AU).
Nigeria once more received 699,760 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines from the UK regime.
