NEWS UPDATE: COVID-19: Lagos warns schools as academic session resumes

The Lagos State Government has guided schools to hold fast to COVID-19 security guidelines as scholarly meeting resumes.

Schools, including model universities and those overhauled, will continue in groups because of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Folasade Adefisayo, Commissioner for Education said the reception of a uniform scholarly schedule would empower legitimate arranging and guarantee understudies go to classes for the necessary number of days in a term.

In an assertion on Monday, Adefisayo hailed partners’ purposeful endeavors for the unassuming achievement recorded in the 2020/2021 meeting in spite of the pandemic.

The official repeated the requirement for school chairmen to send all sensible procedures for insurance of understudies/understudies and school personnel.

The magistrate guaranteed that Babajide Sanwo-Olu organization will proceed with the interest in instruction foundation, limit improvement and government assistance of school personnel.

SS2 understudies looking for advancement into SS3 will continue September 19; new JS1 understudies in model schools and redesigned schools will continue October 2.

Other returning understudies in JS2, JS3, SS1 and the recently elevated in SS2 are to continue October 9.
