NEWS UPDATE: Cleric sentenced to death for killing friend in Lagos

A Lagos High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square, on Wednesday, sentenced a 34-year-old cleric, Fatai Afobaje, to death for eliminating his buddy and mutilating his body.

Justice Modupe Nicol-Clay sentenced the cleric to death after discovering him guilty of conspiracy to dedicate murder and murder.

The judge held that Lagos State Federal government, prosecuting the case, showed its case beyond affordable doubt.

Nicol-Clay stated that prosecution had the ability to show that the found guilty triggered the death of his buddy, Rafiu Sulaiman, aged 44.
