Paris Saint-Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has apologised for celebrating Lionel Messi’s goal against Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Pochettino also explained why he was excited after Messi made it 2-0 at the Parc des Princes.
He said: “For many years I watched Messi scoring goals, ever with the opposite squad.
“The foremost (goal) for our side, for my side, good I had to celebrate it, I am sorry!”
PSG moved to the top of the grouping with the win. Idrissa Gueye opened the scoring early in the foremost half, before Messi produced a minute of magic in the moment half.
The 34-year-old played a neat one-two with Kylian Mbappe on the border of the box before curling a foremost time shot past times Ederson.
Messi’s goal sparked wild scenes of celebration on the home bench, which fifty-fifty the generally calm and composed Pochettino got involved in.
