Chelsea supervisor, Thomas Tuchel, has uncovered that the threesome of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all got wounds in preparing on Monday.
The Blues required a punishment shoot-out to see off Southampton and fit the bill for the Carabao Cup quarter-last on Tuesday night.
The game finished 1-1 following an hour and a half, as Che Adams offset Kai Havertz’s opener.
Tuchel conceded after the game that his group choice was affected after three players endured wounds the day preceding on the preparation pitch.
Azpilicueta has a shoulder issue, Christensen has been constrained into minor medical procedure on a tooth issue and Loftus-Cheek has harmed his hip.
“We trust Azpi is back for the end of the week. He had a shoulder injury yesterday in preparing when he fell on it. It’s extremely agonizing yet he’s Azpi and he’s an intense guy.
“Ruben felt in the wake of preparing some aggravation in his hip joint. Ideally we can deal with it for Saturday.
“Andreas expected to recuperate from tooth medical procedure and he ought to be back in preparing on Thursday in case there are no intricacies,” Tuchel said.
