The Federal Government has supported over N4 billion in the 2021 financial plan for filling of police vehicles across the states in Nigeria.
The Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Dingyadi, spread the word about this on Tuesday in an articulation gave by Mr Bolaji Kazeem, Head of Press and Public Relations in the ministry.
The serve, who talked in a paper named, “Vital Leadership Development: The Role of the Ministry of Police Affairs” introduced to Strategic Leadership and Command Course 3/2021 members of the National Institute of Police Studies, said the endorsed sum would cover supply of fuel to police order in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to him, the endorsement was the first throughout the entire existence of Nigeria Police that over N4 billion was endorsed for fuelling of police vehicles in the country.
He added that the service would support the motion. The Minister offered thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly individuals over the approval.
“The Ministry is profoundly appreciative to Mr President and the National Assembly for supporting assets for the stockpile of fuel to the 36 states Police Commands the nation over and FCT to expand their proficiency”, he added.
He uncovered that the Police Trust Fund had effectively granted agreement for supply of more functional vehicles, ammo and other gear to help in handling security.
