President Muhammadu Buhari has supported a guiding board to administer the interaction of the recently marked Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
The advancement was uncovered in an articulation gave on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
According to the assertion, the guiding panel is going by Timipre Sylva, Minister of State, Petroleum Resources.
Other individuals are: Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Group Managing Director, NNPC, Executive Chairman, FIRS, Representative of the Ministry of Justice, Representative of the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Natural Resources, Barrister Olufemi Lijadu as External Legal Adviser, while the Executive Secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund, will fill in as Head of the Coordinating Secretariat and the Implementation Working Group.
Adesina uncovered that the essential obligation of the endorsed board of trustees is guarantee the viable and convenient execution of the PIA which was endorsed into law on Monday.
Adesina noticed that the advisory group has been allowed a year length for the task, expressing that occasional updates will be given by the president.
