NEWS UPDATE: Biafra: No dialogue until Nnamdi Kanu is released – Lawyer tells Buhari govt

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Fri said no dialogue would take location until the agitator is released.

In a series of tweets, Ejimakor recalled how former Due south African President, Nelson Mandela was released from prison house before apartheid ended.

According to Ejimakor: “UPDATE: Nowadays, I had a visitation with #Onyendu in the company of my colleague, Barr Ejiofor & his blood brother, Prince Emma Kanu. Our word centred primarily on the unlucky episode in Judicature yesterday & the next course of study of activity. Rest tuned for the details.

“DIALOGUE? Nobody can initiate whatever dialogue until Onyendu #Kanu is released. This must be the 1st stair because it’s only MNK that has the vires to conduct whatever dialogue. The release of Mandela from prison house was the 1st stair in the dialogue that led to ending apartheid in Due south Africa.”

Ejimakor’s comment is coming at a time the Federal Regime hinted at the opportunity of a political solution to Kanu’s issue.

Abubakar Malami, Attorney Full general of the Federation, of late during an interview said a political solution on Kanu and Yoruba Land Activist, Dominicus Igboho’s instance has not been ruled out and could still happen.

He said the authorities is open to all kinds of considerations as section of efforts to resolve the crisis surrounding separatist agitations around the country.
