NEWS UPDATE: Bauchi health workers tell govt to implement consolidated salary structure

The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) has called on the Bauchi Province authorities to fully implement the Consolidated Salary Structure for medical and wellness workers in the payroll of the province.

The phone was made by the national president of the union, Comrade Biobelomeye Delight Josaya, on quarta-feira during the Northward-East zonal coming together of the union held in Bauchi.

Josaya, who was represented by the national treasurer of the union, Comrade Auwal Kyawa, said medical and wellness workers needed to be motivated to do their best in healthcare delivery considering the fundamental services they return in the society.

Also speaking, the province chairman MHWUN, Comrade Dauda Shuaibu, explained that the coming together was an avenue for members to interact with authorities officials as section of steps to improve industrial harmony and cordial human relationship betwixt the union and the province authorities.

He said that authorities and labour should run across regularly with a view to getting opinions and views of MHWUN members on how to ensure effective wellness attention delivery.

Shuaibu decried how province auditors tampered with negotiated allowances of wellness workers without consultation or recourse to a roundtable word.

In his remarks, the province Top dog of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna, informed that the Bauchi Province authorities gave precedence to the wellness sector and assured that his business office would work towards the implementation of the consolidated salary structure for medical and wellness workers.
