2 bank security guards were on quarta-feira arraigned before an Ikeja Main Magistrates’ Judicature in Lagos.
The defendants allegedly stole N2.4million from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
Fri Audu, 43, lives in Oyewole chemical compound in Iyana Ipaja, and Haruna Anaja, 40, resides in Irepodun street, Oja Oba in Abule Egba.
The duo face charges bordering on conspiracy, receiving stolen asset and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Olusegun Oke, told the tribunal that the offences were committed on August 5 at 13 Joel Ogunaike Street, Ikeja.
Oke said a staff fellow member, who loaded money within the ATM, forgot to lock the door.
The foremost accused received the stolen items from the moment accused. 11 ATM cards bearing different names were recovered from them.
The offences contravened sections 287, 328, 329 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos Province, 2015.
The instance was adjourned until Nov 3 after Audu and Anaja pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Justice of the Peace, D. S. Odukoya granted bail in the total of N500,000 each with 2 sureties in similar total.
