The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra says a solitary mishap at Uli, on the Ihiala-Onitsha interstate, killed a young lady and a lady on Sunday night.
The Sector Commander of the Corps, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, affirmed the mishap to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka, on Monday.
Irelewuyi said the driver of the influenced Nissan Caravan business transport with enrollment number ACA 989 ZW, failed to keep a grip on the vehicle after a tire burst.
“The vehicle included is a business transport containing 12 travelers – five male grown-ups, five female grown-ups, a male kid and a female child.
“The travelers supported some level of wounds and were hurried to Nnadi Hospital and Infant Jesus Hospital, both in Ihiala, by FRSC personnel.
“A female youngster and a lady were affirmed dead by the specialist on the job after which their bodies were saved at the Ark Angels morgue, Ihiala,” he said.
Irelewuyi mourned with the groups of the perished and encouraged drivers to guarantee that their vehicles were in acceptable condition prior to handling the roads.
He further prompted drivers, particularly business drivers, to cease from utilizing lapsed tyres.
