NEWS UPDATE: APC: Nigerians won’t live with terrorism, poverty for 40 years – PDP replies Modu Sheriff

The Peoples Democratic Political party, PDP, has reacted to former Borno Province Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff’s claim that the All Progressives Congress, APC, would remain in powerfulness for the next 50 years.

PDP said Nigerians can not afford to live with terrorism and poverty for the next 40 years.

The former ruling political party described Sheriff’s comment as a reckless and arrogant assertion.

In a series of tweets, the PDP stressed that the APC won’t remain in powerfulness beyond 2023.

According to PDP: “The @OfficialPDPNig has told the former Governor of Borno province, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, to perish the thoughts of @OfficialAPCNg ruling for 40 years, as Nigerians are resolute in their choice not to allow the @OfficialAPCNg and its associated bloodletting, killings, violations, corruption and economical hardship in our polity, beyond May 29, 2023.

“The @OfficialPDPNig’s place is predicated on the arrogant and reckless assertion by Sheriff that their aspiration is to go along to foist @OfficialAPCNg
in regime for the next 40 years, in defiance of the choice by Nigerians to do absent with their political party by 2023.

“Ali Modu Sheriff must know that Nigerians are aware of the desperate plots by the @OfficialAPCNg and its members that are behind acts of terrorism, banditry, treasury looting, violation of rights and electoral manipulations in our country, to go along to relish official cover using the @OfficialAPCNg as a platform for their reprehensible activities.”
