An All Progressives Congress Chieftain, Mr Kayode Ojo has advocated the restructuring of the current security architecture of the country.
Ojo stated this piece fielding questions from Journalists at Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Authorities Area of Ekiti Province.
He observed that the country was already comatose and required urgent attending to grow the confidence of Nigerians in the authorities.
Ojo piece lamenting the insecurity in the country, said no one can go kilometres without the feeling of apprehension and fearfulness of possible kidnap, the is he said, confirms how naughty the security set upward in Nigeria is.
In his words “What we demand at present are people with good ideology, people with lineament leadership, who could utilization their knowledge to revamp the economic system, ensure security and convey succour to the people,”
He said all hands must be on the deck to strategise on how to mobilise everyone with a view to securing the streets, towns, instant environments, and villages.
“It’s just that at present that we have social media, it is piece of cake to study situations but I believe that the authorities are taking activeness to deal with the insecurity that is ravaging the country.
“All I will have to say is that security is not only for the authorities but for all of us, every single individual has a role to play.
On the economic system, the industrialist cum politician advised the federal and province authorities to build on the harmonious human relationship that has been existing betwixt the 2 tiers of the authorities to resolve the issue of the controversial Value Added Taxation (VAT)
“Allow us think that we are the ruling political party, the All Progressives Congress, so, I don’t wait the VAT issue to disorganise us and degenerate to chaos.
“The commission set upward by the Federal authorities and the states should parley and reckon how they will generate maximum advatage for all and sundry.
“The 2 parties should make it at the best alternative that could be good for both the federal and the States authorities and, I am certain, we can attain a compromise.”
