The applicant of the All Progressives Congress in the approaching Anambra decisions, Andy Uba has said he made Professor Charles Soludo, the up-and-comer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria during the residency of previous President, Olusegun Obasanjo
Andy Uba, a sitting Senator and a previous friend of Obasanjo, made the cases during the Anambra political race banter coordinated by Arise TV and Enough will be Enough on Monday.
During the discussion, Andy Uba hammered Soludo, blaming him for being unreasonable after he purportedly prescribed him to Obasanjo for an arrangement for the post of CBN Governor.
He said that regardless of Obasanjo referring to him as the justification for Soludo’s arrangement when some customary rulers went to the Villa on a thank-you visit, Soludo never showed the required appreciation
He was cited as saying, “When he (Soludo) turned into the CBN Governor, he went to my home to say express gratitude toward you.
“Also, when five Igwes [traditional rulers] came to thank the President after the arrangement, he [Obasanjo] advised them to go say thanks to me instead.”
But Soludo kept up with that he never knew Andy Uba until previous Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili presented them at the Presidential villa.
Anambra gubernatorial political decision hangs on November sixth 2021, with the forefront competitors being Andy Uba for the APC, Professor Charles Soludo for APGA and Valentine Ozigbo for the PDP.
