NEWS UPDATE: Alizee’s murder: I was intimate with my wife – Danish man tells court

A Danish, Peter Nielsen, charged with murder of his Nigerian married woman and girl, on Tuesday said that he woke upwards one morn and found them dead on their kitchen storey.

Nielsen testified before a Lagos High Judicature sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square.

Nielsen said he watched a football match together with his married woman and was intimate with her the dark before her decease.

He said this on the moment daytime of his examination-in-chief as the 10th defence witness.

He was led in evidence by his counsel, Mr Olasupo Shashore (SAN), who told the tribunal that the evidence of the accused was rattling crucial to his defence.

Recall that Nielsen was accused of killing his Nigerian wife and vocaliser, Zainab, and their three-and-half-year-old girl, Petra, on Apr 5, 2018.

Nielsen told the tribunal that he had a good time with his household the dark before the decease of his married woman and girl.

He told the tribunal that, on Apr 4, 2018, his household members watched television together.

Nielsen said his married woman joined him to catch a football match on television.

“There was a football match that eventide; my married woman knew it was a rattling important match to me, and to my surprise, she watched it with me.

“Around 9:45 p.m., the children went to their room, my married woman and I continued watching highlights from the game. It was a rattling joyful minute.

“Around 11 p.m., we took our bath together, went to our bedchamber and we were intimate.

“Around 2:30 a.m., we were woken by our girl, Petra, who entered our room and said she wanted to catch cartoon on iPad,” Nielsen said.

He said his married woman took Petra to their sitting room to catch the cartoon on television.

The accused said he went to the kitchen and got some juice and snacks for Petra.

He told the tribunal that his married woman said she would warm some food for Petra later.

Nielsen said, “I kissed my married woman and girl and went dorsum to slumber in relation to 2:35 a.m.

“I woke upwards around 7:30 a.m. and noticed that my married woman was not in the bedchamber; so I went to appear for her.”

The accused said he entered their sitting room and found their maid and other girls standing.

Nielsen said he asked them in relation to his married woman but they said they didn’t know her whereabouts.

He said he searched for his married woman and saw her lying lifeless with their girl on the kitchen storey.

Nielsen said there was a strong smell of gas when he opened the kitchen door.

The said said he tried to resuscitate his married woman and girl but when he realised that they were dead he called his married woman’s stepfather and told him and his married woman to come up to Lagos.

He said that policemen arrived at the scene before midday and asked him to phone his household doc.

“The doc eventually came and, after, certified the 2 bodies dead,” he said.

Justice Bolanle Okikolu-Ighile adjourned the example until Nov. 23, for continuation of trial.

She farther remanded the accused.

The Lagos Province Authorities had accused the accused of smothering Zainab and Petra to decease at 3:45 a.m. at No. 4, Level 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Isle, Ikoyi.

Nielsen was arraigned on June 13, 2018, but he pleaded not guilty to 2 counts of murder, which contravene Subdivision 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos Province, 2015.
