The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) has actually stated that a previous Guv of the state, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, passed away at a time his wealth of experience was most required.

Alao-Akala, a retired law enforcement officer, was the Chairman of the Ogbomoso North City Government Area in between 1999 and 2002.
