NEWS UPDATE: Ahmed Musa overtakes Enyeama, Yobo to become most-capped Super Eagles player

Nigeria captain, Ahmed Musa, at present holds the tape for most appearances made for the national squad.

The 29-year-old has eclipsed Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama.

Musa reached this milestone after coming on to replace Kelechi Iheanacho in the 86th min of a 2022 World Loving cup qualifier against Republic of Liberia on Saturday.

The winger had equalled Yobo and Enyeama’s tape having earned his 101st cap in the 2-0 win over the Central African Republic on Oct 10.

Musa made his senior debut on August 5, 2010, in the 2012 Africa Loving cup of Nations qualifiers against Republic of Madagascar.

He scored his first of all goal for the Super Eagles in an international friendly against Republic of Kenya in March 2011 and has played at 2 AFCON tournaments as good as 2 FIFA World Cups
