To mark the 2021 World Youth Day, the Plateau State government has prepared 70 adolescents from the 17 Local Government Areas of the state to be sharpened on the requirement for reliance on horticulture for survival.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Victor Lapang revealed this on Wednesday in Jos.
While tending to writers on the “World Youth Day”, festivity, the Commissioner brought up that farming can be a type of revenue and vocation, consequently, the express government’s was obligation to sharpen the youths.
He said the Ministry is coordinating a discussion for the young people in the state in association with the Center for the Advocacy of Justice and Rights(CAJR) Jos with help from USAID which centers around making agribusiness a hotspot for money and livelihoods.
“In line with the subject features during the current year festivity, there is a need to drive endeavors to make and urge Plateau adolescents to embrace and possess agribusiness as method for occupation and be more pertinent, evenhanded and comprehensive for all young, including new and reasonable innovations.
