The 661 Nigerian Air Forcefulness Infirmary Laboratory (661 NAFH) in Ikeja, Lagos, has received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 15189:2012 accreditation.
The recognition, for character direction systems and fantabulous service delivery, comes the moment consecutive time.
The certificate was presented to Master of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, at the NAF headquarters in Abuja by Dr Tosan Erhabor, the Registrar, Medical Laboratory Scientific discipline Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Erhabor recalled that the 661 NAFH Laboratory was the first off to be accredited in 2016 and continues to conduct in character direction systems.
The Registrar said the facility was the first off in the war machine to key into ISO 15189, the hallmark of character.
“The accreditation indicates that NAF is committed to doing the right thing fifty-fifty when no one is watching”, he said.
Erhabor commended the security unit’s role gallant in the combat against insurgency, armed banditry and other forms of criminality.
The Air master thanked the MLSCN for existing collaboration, particularly the standardisation and improvement of NAF laboratories.
Amao disclosed that efforts are ongoing to send competent personnel to other laboratories as good mass provide of reagents.
The CAS announced plans to farther educate medical laboratory scientists in Nigeria and foreign countries.
“Rattling shortly, the NAF School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine will acknowledge students for technician courses, including medical laboratory technicians”, Amao added.
