NEWS UPDATE: 25-year-old man arrested for alleged murder of brother for money ritual in Kwara

A 25-year-old man, Ismail Saliu, has been arrested by the Kwara Province Command, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, over the alleged murder of his blood blood brother for money ritual purposes.

2 other persons including a herbalist, Ahmed Nkwe, were also arrested in connective with the incident in Kosubosu, Baruten Local Regime Area of Kwara Province.

They reportedly murdered a 14-year-old Azeez Saliu, younger blood brother of the prime suspect, Ismail Saliu.

A statement by the spokesman of the command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, in Ilorin on Saturday, said ” operatives of the NSCDC at Kosubosu Divisional Business office, got a distress ring from the neighbourhood in relation to suspicious motion of sure individuals in the area.

” Some officers in the divisional business office with operatives of the anti-vandal patrol squad in the area swung into activeness and afterwards arrested a herbalist, Ahmed Nkwe (44) and Saliu Ahmed (30).

According to the spokesman, the suspects allegedly “lured the victim to the farm where he was gruesomely murdered by his possess blood blood brother, Ismail Saliu.”

Luck, notwithstanding, ran out of the suspects as they were rounded upwardly by operatives of the NSCDC on their way dorsum from the farm.

” The prime suspect, Ismail Saliu, who is the blood brother to the deceased, has confessed to having personally slaughtered his blood brother with the assist of the herbalist and one other individual,” the statement farther revealed.

The Commandant of the command, Iskil Ayinla Makinde, has ordered that the suspects be handed over to the constabulary authorities for farther investigation and prosecution.
