Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has excused the situation of previous Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe that the Southeast isn’t ready to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Adeseye Ogunlewe, a previous Minister of Works, had said the powerlessness of individuals of the Southeast to join under a typical authority would work against their presidential ambition.
He has said: “Another arrangement of individuals that are proper, they are individuals from the Southeast yet they have the issue of leadership.
“They are blessed to such an extent that they are spread all over Nigeria and they can accumulate a great deal of votes, however they are excessively isolated. An Imo individual, an Enugu individual, an Ebonyi man won’t pay attention to themselves.
“They have the cash. In the event that they plunk down and total what they can offer, they have more cash than nearly everyone in Nigeria.”
But responding, Ohanaeze depicted his cases as “determined endeavors, abnormal and provocative assault against Ndigbo entwined with errors and falsehoods.”
This was contained in an explanation gave by the Ohanaeze Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
He said, “conventionally, we would have disregarded the man experiencing mouth looseness of the bowels, however we approach Nigerians to realize that 2023 is the not about Southeast but rather the maintenance of a nation sinking profound into the chasm of deterioration and insecurity”.
He added that, “Ogunlewe isn’t representing Omo Oduduwa or Yoruba country. People of ethical quality from the Southwest are supporting and peddling for the 2023 Igbo Presidency.
“The endurance of Nigeria past 2023 lies in the way that each segment of the nation had tasted the Presidency with the exception of the Igbo, and endeavors by the fifth reporter to cajole and stop the Nigerian President of Igbo extraction is the fastest course to crumbling and a ceaseless secessionist development in Nigeria.
“We are clamoring for Igbo Presidency, not Southeast Presidency. Regardless of whether an Igbo from Niger Delta or Benue or Kogi or Southeast arises in any major ideological group, we will relate to him and backing him.”
Isiguzoro said in opposition to Ogunlewe’s cases, “Igbos are joined chasing the 2023 Presidency.
“For the first run through since the arrival of vote based system in 1999, a great deal of consultative gatherings and behind the stage exercises are continuous to persuade Nigerians ob the requirement for the 2023 Igbo Presidency Project.
“Igbo authority is at the bleeding edge of this Noble Project, and Igbo official hopefuls are putting last little details on the 2023 Presidency.”
