A Coalition of Northward Central Groups has urged the Peoples Democratic Political party (PDP) to back up a candidate from the part for the 2023 presidency.
The grouping’s National President, Comrade Salahudeen Lukman, patch briefing newsmen, said that PDP should consider a credible aspirant from the part as its presidential candidate in the 2023 full general elections.
According to the groups, “As a coalition, we have commenced our consultations and resolved to proceed with the mass mobilisation and sensitization of all voters, to ensure the concession of the presidential ticket to the Northward Central to reach a resounding success for our zone during the 2023 Full general Election.”
He famous that they made the demand because of their belief that at this hard and trying time in the country, “the only path for national salvation, restoration and peace is to ensure that there is fairness fairness, and justice in the body polity.”
The Coalition observed that the Northward Central geo-political zone was the only zone that had not produced a democratically-elected President or Vice President in the political history of Nigeria.
It famous that it was no to a greater extent intelligence that there are agitations from other zones to make the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023, stressing that these agitations are coming both from the Northward and the Southward with each providing reasons for their place.
The coalition added that since independence in 1960, all other zones have been privileged to make democratically elected President, Vice President or their equivalent apart from the Northward Central Geo-Political Zone.
It observed that for the sake of fairness, fairness, and justice, they believed that it was appropriate for the other 5 zones to graciously concede the presidency to the Northward Central in 2023.
