Chairman of Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) also known as Amotekun in Oyo Province, Full general Kunle Togun (rtd) has revealed that 11 monarchs from Oke Ogun geo-political zone in Oyo Province wrote a petition against the creation of Oke Ogun Province.
Togun said that the petition was written during the military machine administration.
The former Managing director of Military machine Intelligence made this disclosures piece speaking at the 14th national congress of National Organization of Saki Elite (NASE) themed “Powerfulness in Unity” held at Saki Town Corridor on Saturday.
Nowadays at the case were Chairman, Main Justice of Oyo Province, Justice Munta Abimbola, representative of married woman of the Deputy Governor, Professor Amdalat Olaniyan, Prince Adeyinka Afonja, outgoing President of NASE, Mr. Wale Oladokun and the newly inaugurated President of NASE,
Dr. Amos Aderemi Ayoola.
DAILY POST reports that the indigenes of Oke Ogun geo-political zone have been clamouring for the creation of Oke Ogun province out of Oyo Province.
But, the Saki-born former military machine intelligence managing director, piece speaking, famous that Oke Ogun province had already been created during Full general Ibrahim Babangida military machine administration.
He, nevertheless nonetheless, said that it was 11 monarchs in the zone who wrote a petition to Babangida not to create the Province.
Togun said that the 11 monarchs said that Oke Ogun Province should not be created whether Oyo is not section of it.
Togun said, “11 monarchs in Oke Ogun wrote a petition against creation of Oke Ogun Province.
“11 monarchs wrote a letter of the alphabet to Babangida that whether Oyo is not section of the Oke Ogun Province, they do not want it.
“Oke Ogun Province was already created during Babangida administration.
“Saki Elite Lagos chapter started the displace for the creation of Oke Ogun Province”.
Togun piece speaking farther, cautioned the indigenes of Saki against introducing devout bias as the basis for the running the affairs of the town in full general.
“Under no status, do not take devout issues to the affairs of the Saki Elite.
“My opposition to the introduction of religion to Saki affairs made many people to detest me in Saki,” he said.
