Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has acknowledged the suggestions of the Special Visitation Panel on the arrangement of the ninth Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Lagos State University (LASU).
The lead representative arranged the disintegration of the Governing Council and the expulsion of the Pro-Chancellor and Council Chairman for blatant infringement of the surviving laws controlling the arrangement of a VC.
Sanwo-Olu dropped the second bombed exercise to designate the ninth Substantive Vice-Chancellor.
He refered to the egregious repudiation of surviving laws, penetrate of fair treatment, disappointment and dismissal to follow set down rules managing the interaction for the arrangement as freely advertised.
A articulation by Gbenga Omotoso, Commissioner for Information said at the appropriate time, another Governing Council for LASU will be constituted.
“The reconstituted Council will lead another cycle for the arrangement of the ninth Vice-Chancellor”, Omotoso noted.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor and the executives of the University were coordinated to choose new board individuals from the Senate.

The state government said they neglected to exhort the Joint Council and Senate Committee against taking incorrectly choices, which were against the arrangement of the law during the two bombed activities of 2020 and 2021.
An Acting Registrar will oversee over the new exercise, while the Acting VC is to advance to Sanwo-Olu, through the Surrogate Council (Special Adviser on Education), the rundown of every one of the Deputy Registrars of LASU to name an Acting Registrar.
