Christoffel Blinden Mission (CBM) International is an International Christian Evolution Organization, committed to improving the lineament of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. CBM provides grants sourced from private and institutional donors to local partners, who after implement the grants on the basis of contracts signed with CBM detailing implementation, accounting, and reporting standards. In this set-up, CBM Country Offices (CO) perform command and monitoring procedures aimed at partner projects; command reports from implementing partners to CBM, including comparing with original source documents, projection contract and cost plans; and ensure compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.

We are recruiting to fill up the vacant senior direction place below:

1. Job Title: National Advisor Inclusive Optic Health(IEH)- Country Business office Nigeria

Location: Abuja, Nigeria; with travels to projection locations

Contract duration: 2 years

Contract type: Total-time

Contract start: As presently as possible

Reports to : The Country Manager

Main objective of the role:

Assure technical lineament in all areas of CBM-supported optic wellness work in Nigeria to ensure that partners organizations and the Country Business office staff work in the most professional person, evidence-based and effective way possible towards successful implementation of the Inclusive Optic Health programmes. The National Advisor Inclusive Optic Health place is a senior direction place and he/she will study to the Country Manager with dotted line reporting to the Regional Advisor IEH.

1. Main Tasks

I. Strategy Evolution and Implementation

Provide technical advice and input into all new inclusive optic wellness projects & budgets that are developed in Nigeria, ensuring that projection plan is in line with good exercise and CBM technical guidelines

Assist the Nigeria Country Manager and country staff in identifying suitable partners in the inclusive optic wellness field and actively participating in partner assessments, in specific technical assessments

Provide technical guidance in the evolution & implementation of the Nigeria IEH-plan by:

Ÿ Leading the evolution of comprehensive IEH – programmes and projects including the IEH Concept Notation evolution and the total proposal evolution to ensure their technical lineament

Ÿ Defining, together with the CBM’s Squad Nigeria, the SMART objectives and indicators in the area of inclusive optic wellness for new projects

Ÿ Contributing to the alignment of CBM Nigeria optic wellness programme to national priorities and CBM’s IEH Initiative programme.

II. Strategic Partnership Evolution and Networking

Back up CBM Nigeria in conducting a mapping exercise and in identifying potential partnership and articulation venture for CBM in Nigeria

Place the evolution of the new partnership opportunities with national and international stakeholders to ensure harmonization of interventions with national and international standards and guidelines.

Stand for CBM Nigeria in the Optic Health Professional person bodies

strengthen CBM Nigeria participation in national IEH networks

III. Staff Evolution at Country Business office

  • Educate Country Business office program staff in all relevant aspects in Inclusive Optic Health IEH, preparing and implementation of optic wellness programmes and standards as hold with the CO and IEH Initiative

IV. Main work parcel with regard to implementing optic wellness partners

Develop minimum and contextualized standards for IEH programs for CBM in Nigeria

Ensure that partners staff have a good understanding of the IEH standards

Conduct/revise technical assessments to the specific IEH projects

Follow upward on the recommendations in the activeness programme.

Provide capacity evolution to partners to ensure lineament.

Ensure sharing of lessons learned and promote best practices with CBM and partner’s organisations;

Cheque statistics submission from IEH partners in the part**

Review six-monthly Cataract Surgical Outcome reports from IEH partners and give feedback where essential**

Back up CBM’s IEH-partners to create lineament reports and review them before submission to CBM offices and the authorities. **

Requirements

1. Education, Knowledge, and Professional person Experience

· Ophthalmologist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Nigeria

· Strategic analysis and evolution

· Have a good understanding of projection cycle and advocacy initiatives

· Good knowledge of Nigeria’s optic wellness issues and priorities

· Experience with a CBM-supported projection or other projection/NGO at to the lowest degree for 3 years is an reward

· Proven experience to facilitate trainings.

· Working experience in an INGO setting.

· Willingness to keep to sharpen skills and technical knowledge.

· Power to move oftentimes within the part, including to less secure environments.

2. Languages

· English at professional person proficiency level

3. Tools

· Experience with Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Powerfulness dot and Excel.
