Task Overview/Summary: The Finance Assistant will be a crucial member of the Yobe finance team and will contribute towards the accomplishment of the field’s finance goals. Under the instructions of the Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant keeps the cash books and is accountable for the accounts payable functions of the department.

Significant Duties:

  • Maintain both tough and soft folders for barrel report, PAYE report, NSITF report and WHT Report.
  • Make Sure that all cash and bank payments files are appropriately submitted and stalled in the archive prompt and properly.
  • Making Sure that cash and bank payment files, TAFs, bid analysis are dispersed to authorizer prompt and in line with operating authorization matrix.
  • Make sure precise and prompt retrieval of files for audits as the audits turned up.
  • Make sure that all files utilized for audit are properly gone back to suitable boxes and stalled a quickly as the audit is over.
  • Support the finance assistant in Preserving the receipt book and guaranteeing that licensed invoices are provided upon receipt of cash.

Indirect Reporting:

  • Report to the Snr Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Controller any abnormalities that happen within the IRC workplace, staff substance and sites on policy and treatments.

  • HND/BSc in Accounting or Business Administration.
