Buruji Kashamu’s 26-Year-Old Son Wins Ogun Assembly Seat

Businessman and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abdulrasheed Kashamu, became the Ogun State House of Assembly member-elect for Ijebu North Constituency 1 at age 26.

Rasheed, born in Banjul, Gambia on November 7, 1996, is the son of the late politician and businessman, Senator Buruji Kashamu, who represented Ogun East in the eighth Senate.

Abdulrasheed attended Greesspring Secondary school in Ajah, Lagos and thereafter proceeded to Brunel University, London, where he had a B.Sc in International Business and Management.

He also got a Master of Science degree in International Finance and Investment at the University of Surrey.

The businessman has promised that youth empowerment, Information and Communication Technologies, and assisting small and medium businesses such as agriculture, timbering, and cow skin businesses will be a part of his priorities in the constituency.
